God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty - 1 Corinthians 1:26.
God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence -1 Corinthians 1:26-29. He can help all those who have no power or with power. Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power - 2 Chronicles 14:11.
We are strong in Christ though we are inadequate in ourselves as His grace is sufficient for us and His power is made perfect in our weakness. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong - 2 Corinthians 12:9,10. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses - Romans 8:26.
God is glorified when He works through weak vessels. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work - 2 Timothy 2:20-21. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us - 2 Corinthians 4:7. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for choosing us and helping us in our weaknesses. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
