PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank and praise You for who You are. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth - Matthew 5:5.
Jesus was meek and lowly for our sake by taking the form of a bondservant, and coming to the world in the likeness of men. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many - Mark 10:45. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:5-8. Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden - Matthew 21:5.
Meekness is an important component of the fruit of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance - Galatians 5:22,23. Let us learn meekness from Jesus who was the perfect example for meekness. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls - Matthew 11:29. We can be meek as we refrain from anger. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city - Proverbs 16:32. We have to receive the Word of God with meekness and be the doers of the word. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves - James 1:21,22.
Let us be blessed by being meek like Jesus and inherit the earth. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace - Psalm 37:11. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love - Ephesians 4:2. We need to be meek as God's chosen people. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience - Colossians 3:12.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be meek like You to inherit the earth and be blessed. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted - Hebrews 2:18.
God will never despise or ignore the suffering of the afflicted, nor hide his face from them but instead hear when they cry for help as He was also afflicted. For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard - Psalm 22:24. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth – Isaiah 53:7.
God sees our affliction, knows the distress of our soul as He had underwent all the sufferings in the flesh which we face now. He will not deliver us into the hand of the enemy but set our feet in a broad place. I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place - Psalm 31:7, 8. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin - Hebrews 4:15. Christ suffered for us in the flesh - 1 Peter 4:1.
Let us thank and praise God who is able to help us when being tempted because He himself suffered when He was tempted. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock - Psalm 27:5. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:16.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and praise You as You are able to help us when we are being tempted. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. For forty days and forty nights He fasted and became very hungry - Matthew 4:1, 2.
Lent is a 40-day period that starts on Ash Wednesday and extends for forty days before Easter. The word Lent comes from the Latin word Quadragesima, which means forty. It comes from the Old English word lencten, which means "spring season". Lent is the spring season of refreshment, renewal and spiritual growth in our life. It is an opportunity to grow closer to God, to remember the life of Jesus, His sufferings on the cross, His amazing love for us and His resurrection that offers us hope, new life, and the promise of eternity with Him.
Repent
Lent is meant to be a time of repentance. Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So, rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness - Joel 2:12, 13. Return to Me, and I will return to you - Malachi 3:7. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord - Acts 3:19. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me - Psalm 51:10.
Grow in prayer, fasting and sharing
The three main ways we can engage in lent are by growing in prayer, fasting and sharing. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful - Colossians 4:2. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes - Daniel 9:3. You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land - Deuteronomy 15:11.
Let us repent and grow closer to God during this lent season. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting - Psalm 139:23,24. Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes - Daniel 9:3. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen - 2 Peter 3:18.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us repent and grow more in prayer, fasting, sharing and in the grace and knowledge of You during this season of lent. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive - Genesis 7:23.
Preacher of righteousness
If he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others - 2 Peter 2:5. Even if these three men - Noah, Daniel and Job - were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign Lord - Ezekiel 14:14.
God blessed Noah and his sons
So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth" - Genesis 9:1. These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood - Genesis 10:32.

When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple - Psalm 27:1-4.
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. God went before the life of Joseph and made the crooked places straight and lifted him. And, Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”- Genesis 41:41.
