God Who Loved Me And Gave Himself For Me

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me - Galatians 2:20.

God who loved me

Gave His only begotten Son

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

To live through Him

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him - 1 John 4:9.

To be the propitiation for our sins

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins - 1 John 4:10.

Died for us while we we still sinners

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us - Romans 5:8.

He first loved us

We love because He first loved us - 1 John 4:19.

Gave Himself for me

As a ransom for all people

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people - 1 Timothy 2:5,6.

To heal us

He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed”- 1 Peter 2:24.

To free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds - Titus 2:14.

To bring us to God

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit - 1 Peter 3:18.

Walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God - Ephesians 5:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you for loving us and giving Yourself for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
