I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food - Job 23:12.
Mary chose the good part of sitting at the feet of Jesus and hearing His word instead of worrying and troubled about many things like Martha. Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word - Luke 10:38. And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her” - Luke 10:41,42.
There will be a great peace and nothing can cause us to stumble as we love God's Word that rejoices our heart. Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble - Psalm 119:165. Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart - Jeremiah 15:16. I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure - Psalm 119:162. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches - Psalm 119:14.
Like Mary, let us also treasure God's Word that rejoices us and meditate it all the day instead of worrying and troubled about many things. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God -Mathew 4:4. Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day - Psalms 119:97. The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver - Psalm 119:72. As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow - 1 Peter 2:2. How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! - Psalm 109:103. .
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us treasure Your Word that rejoices us more than anything and meditate it all the day. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
