For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7.
There was a great windstorm and waves beat into the boat that Jesus was with the disciples. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” - Mark4:37,38.
The wind ceased and there was a great calm when Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the sea “Peace, be still!”. Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm - Mark 4:39. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast - Psalm 33:9.
Seeing the great windstorms and waves, the disciples were so fearful because of the lack of faith even though Jesus was with them in the same boat. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” - Mark 4:40,41.
Let us walk by faith without fear and not by what we see. But without faith it is impossible to please Him - Hebrews 11:6. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind - 2 Timothy 1:7. For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not fear about anything. Help us to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Amen.
