My Eyes Are Upon You O God The Lord

But my eyes are upon You, O God the Lord; In You I take refuge - Psalm 141:8.

Jehoshaphat feared, set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah when a great multitude came against him. Their eyes were upon the Lord to ask help from Him. So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord. O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You - 2 Chronicles 20:3,4,12.

The Lord made them to rejoice over their enemies as their eyes were upon the Lord and so they assembled in the Valley of Berachah and blessed the Lord. And on the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berachah, for there they blessed the Lord; therefore the name of that place was called The Valley of Berachah until this day. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat in front of them, to go back to Jerusalem with joy, for the Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies - 2 Chronicles 20:26,27.

When our eyes look upon God, our faces will not be ashamed and we will be radiant. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed - Psalm 34:5. Our help will come from the Lord who is the maker of heaven and earth as our eyes look upon Him. I will lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth - Psalm 121:1,2.

Let our eyes look upon the Lord for help until He has mercy on us. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He has mercy on us - Psalm 123:2. May our eyes be ever on the Lord. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare - Psalm 25:15.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let our eyes be ever upon You. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Evil into Good

In the life of Joseph, God turned all the evil that were meant by his brothers into good. But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive - Genesis 50:20.

Curse into Blessing

The Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you - Deuteronomy 23:5.

Lack into perfect

Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing - James 1:4.

Desert into Rivers

Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert - Isaiah 43:18,19.

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you - Joel 2:25.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for turning every situation in our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

God Will Bring You Back From Captivity

The Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you - Deuteronomy 30:3.

For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. ‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’ ” - Jeremiah 30:3.

Then fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the Lord, nor be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from far away, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease, and none shall make him afraid - Jeremiah 30:10.

Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; The city shall be built upon its own mound, And the palace shall remain according to its own plan. Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish - Jeremiah 30:18,19.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” - Jeremiah 29:11-14.

And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before - Job 42:10.

We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance - Psalm 66:12.

When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad - Psalm 126:1-3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for bringing us back from captivity and filling us with joy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Pray For One Another

Pray for one another - James 5:16.

Isaac prayed for Rebekah

Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived - Genesis 25:21.

Job prayed for his friends

And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before - Job 42:10.

Church prayed for Peter

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him - Acts 12:5. Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer the door. When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!”. But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished - Acts 12:13,14,16.

For all people

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - 1 Timothy 2:1.

For kings and all those in authority

For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth - 1 Timothy 2:2-4.

Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need - Hebrews 4:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us pray for one another. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

God Who Trains Us

Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle - Psalm 144:1.

God uses hard times in our life to train and discipline us as we are His children. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children - Hebrews 12:7. He helps us when training our hands for war, and our fingers for battle. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great - Psalm 18:34, 35.

We are disciplined by God for our good as discipline produces a harvest of righteousness and peace. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it - Hebrews 12:10,11.

Let us thank God who helps us and gives us His grace when training our hands for war and fingers for battle. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age - Titus 2:11-12. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places - Ephesians 6:12.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for training us and disciplining us for our good. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made a road in the depths of the sea so that the redeemed might cross over? - Isaiah 51:10.

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.  The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand - Mark 6:41,44.

God who raised Lazarus

Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go” - John 11:43,44.

God who opened prison doors

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed - Acts 16:25,26.

God who calmed the winds and the sea

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm - Mark 4:39. Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm - Matthew 8:26. He calms the storm, So that its waves are still - Psalm 107:29.
