Thank God for Who He is

   Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name – Hebrews 13:15.         
               
                          We serve a wonderful God and let us thank Him for who He is. God is love - 1 John 4:8. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16. God is good all the time. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good - I Chronicles 16:34.
                        Our God is gracious, merciful, powerful and compassionate. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy – Psalm 145:8. He is sovereign. O Sovereign LORD! You have made the heavens and earth by Your great power. Nothing is too hard for You!” - Jeremiah 32:17. He is the all-powerful God. God's power is so immeasurable that His understanding cannot be determined either  - Psalm 147:5.
                            Our God is holy and so let us also be holy and worship Him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. psalm 96:9. "Who is like You among the gods, O LORD? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders? – Exodus 15:11.
                                        
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our gracious, merciful, powerful, faithful and compassionate God. We thank for who You are. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Give Thanks in all Circumstances


Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

                  David wrote Psalm 63 when he was in the wilderness of Judah. Though he was fleeing for life from his own son, he praised God joyfully. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.  I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands - Psalm 63:3,4.
             Paul praised God in prison. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. When Paul was imprisoned in Rome, he wrote, “Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” - Ephesians 5:19-20.
                 Daniel kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed constantly. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Daniel 6:10.
                                       
                                            
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to fulfill Your will by giving thanks in all circumstances. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thank God for all our Blessings

  Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever - 1 Chronicles 16:34.
Thank God for life
                        God has given us good health. He gives to all life, breath, and all things - Acts 17:25. Let us thank God as we live by His pure grace. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed. Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22,23.
Thank God for family
                       Let us thank God for all our family, relatives and friends. They are the wonderful gifts of God. Every good gift we have comes from the Lord. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning – James 1:17
Thank God for material blessings
                       God has provided us food, clothing, home and all that we need. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it – Proverbs 10:22. All the blessings we have comes from the Lord and so let us thank Him. King David prayed, “Wealth and honor come from you … We give you thanks, and praise your glorious name … Everything comes from you” - 1 Chronicles 29:12-14.
                                                                      
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Your blessings are countless in our life. We thank You for giving us a good life, wonderful family and all the material blessings. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thanksgiving Brings Contentment

Now godliness with contentment is great gain – 1 Timothy 6:6.

                       Praising and thanking God will open the door of blessings. Instead of being discontent, let us thank God for all the blessings He had given us.  When we start praising and thanking God, we will become more careful to watch our tongue. We will become more content with what we have and there will be a tremendous peace in our heart.  
                    Start thanking God instead of complaining during our difficult times. God will turn all our troubles into triumph. When we begin to thank God in all situations, we will stop comparing us with others and become content. Paul declared, “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want” - Philippians 4:12. 
                       God has provided us with everything. Learn to thank God even if things do not work in the way we thought to be. As God will never leave us nor forsake us, let us be content with what we have. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 31:5.
                                                      
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for all the blessings You have given us. Help us to be content in everything and let us always be thankful to You for what we have. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Tell God’s Marvelous Works to others

               I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. Psalm 9:1.
   
                        God has done marvelous works in our life and He wants us to testify it to others. Jesus told the man to go home and testify and to tell others what God has done for him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you - Mark 5:19.
                      God can use our testimony to encourage and save others. The Samaritan woman left her water pot and ran to the city to say that she saw the Messiah. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” - John 4:39.
                     Let us declare the countless works of God in our life to all people. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered - Psalm 40:5. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples - Psalm 96:3.
      
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for all Your marvelous works in our life. Let us tell Your marvelous works among all people. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thank God for His Protection

        He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge. Psalm 91:4.

                          God is our refuge and fortress. He protects us from the hands of our enemies. Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:6-8.
                         God is protecting us wherever we go. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways - Psalm 91:11. No evil can attack us as God is our protector. The Lord will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore - Psalm 121:7-8.
                        God is always with us in all our situations. When you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” (Isaiah 43:2). The God who saved Israelites in the Red sea and protected them by the pillar of cloud and fire will protect us also.  Let us thank God for His mighty protection in our life.

Hannah's Prayer of Thanksgiving

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High – Psalm 92:1.

                               Hannah poured out her heart to God and prayed that if God would give her a child, she would give back to Him. God answered Hannah’s prayer and blessed her with Samuel who became the great prophet of Israel. God also blessed her with five more children. And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the Lord - 1 Samuel 2:21.
                                Hannah sings a song of thanksgiving in 1 Samuel chapter 2. Her heart rejoices and delights in the Lord. My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no rock like our God - 1 Samuel 2:1-2. She praised God that He is a rock and there is no one to protect like God.
                              Hannah worships God for His wisdom and holiness.She thanked God for His sovereignty. She offered a song of thanksgiving to God for the gift of Samuel. Let us look the ways God had blessed us and offer a song of thanksgiving for all the blessings in our life. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving- Psalm 69:30.
                                                       
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You with a holy heart. Refresh our soul and put a song of thanksgiving in our heart for all Your blessings in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Paul - An Apostle of Thanksgiving

      Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20.    

                         Paul is the apostle of thanksgiving who gave the most thanks among all the writers of scriptures. I thank my God (Philemon 1:4). We give thanks to God (Colossians 1:3). I thank God (II Timothy 1:3). Giving thanks unto the Father (Colossians 1:12). We thank God without ceasing (I Thessalonians 2:13). I thank Christ Jesus our Lord (I Timothy 1:12).
                      Paul taught us to give thanks in everything. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (I Thessalonians 5:18). He also taught us to give thanks for all things. Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:20).                        
                      Paul taught us to abound in thanksgiving. Overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7). And be thankful (Colossians 3:15). Watching in the same with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2). I exhort that giving of thanks be made for all men (I Timothy 2:1). At the conclusion of all his letters, Paul remembers to pray, praise and thank God. Let us also thank and praise God.

We are Called To Praise God

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! - Psalm 150:6.

                      God is great in love, power, glory and majesty. He is worthy of our praises. We are called by God to proclaim the praises of Him. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light -1 Peter 2:9.
                            God inhabits the praises of His people. You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, and fear Him, all you offspring of Israel! - Psalm 22:23. Through our praises, God wants us to acknowledge Him who He is. My tongue will proclaim your righteousness, your praises all day long – Psalm 35:28. Let us offer God praises and a true worship. I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving - Psalm 69:30.
                             Let us praise God for His mighty works and wonderful deeds in our life. Praise the Lord, o my soul, O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty - Psalm 104:1. God is great and His love towards us is great. For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord - Psalm 117:2.
                                       
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for calling us out of darkness into Your marvelous light to proclaim Your praises. Let us praise You at all times and let Your praise be continually in our mouth. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thank God For His Indescribable Gift

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15.

                         God loves us so much and He had given His only son for us to have eternal life. Thank God for His unconditional love towards us. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life - John 3:16. God has given us eternal life as gift.
                              God gave Himself as a ransom for all of us. Let us be thankful to God for the deliverance of our sins through God. But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness - Romans 6:17.
                            All the works of God are wonderful and indescribable. Jesus Christ is the most precious gift given to us. As Christ is our Savior, we are free from sin, hell, death and condemnation. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you, the hope of glory - Colossians 1:27. Christ who is the indescribable gift given to us is the hope of glory living in us.
                                                 
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your indescribable gift of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We offer our life to You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thank God For His Powerful Name

O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! - Psalm 8:1.

                       God’s name is above all names. There is power, protection and provision in the name of Jesus. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe - Proverbs 18:10. God’s name is excellent, beautiful and powerful. But Peter said, "I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene--walk!" - Acts 3:6. Immediately the lame man walked and praised God.
                      There is salvation only in the name of the Lord. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved - Acts 4:12. Those who believe on the name of the Lord will be saved and become the children of God. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name - John 1:12.
                       God answers our prayers through His name. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it - John 14:14. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you - John 16:23. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord - James 5:14.
                                  
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We magnify and exalt Your name. We thank You for Your beautiful, excellent and powerful name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Jesus Gave Thanks

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus - 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
                               Jesus gave thanks to God for food. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted - John 6:11. More than five thousand men were fed with five loaves of bread and two fish. There were 12 baskets of leftover also. Let us thank God for what we have.
                              Jesus gave thanks to God before raising Lazarus from dead.  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me – John 11:41. Let us thank God before we receive healing and miracles from God.
                                 At the last supper, Jesus offered thanks. Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” - Luke 22:17,18. Let us thank God in all the circumstances of our life.

Praises Set Us Free

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. Acts 16:25.

                     In Acts 16:16-24, we see that Paul and Silas were arrested and put in prison. At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God and the prisoners heard them. Instead of worrying about the situation, they started praising God. Rejoice in the Lord always - Philippians 4:4.
                  Their praises released God’s power. Suddenly there was an earthquake and the prison doors were opened. Their chains were loosened. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered - Joel 2:32. Also, the jailer and his family got saved. Paul and Silas focused on the purposes of God instead of their problem.
                     When we offer praises to God, we will be set free from all bondages. Let us praise God to open the doors of prisons in our life. Praise is a spiritual weapon that can be used to break the strongholds in our life. At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, because of Your righteous judgments - Psalm 119:62.
                                           
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are worthy of all praises. Help us to praise You in all our circumstances. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Garment of Praise

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified - Isaiah 61:3.

                     The spirit of heaviness is a weapon used by the enemy to destroy our peace. Whenever we have a spirit of heaviness. let us put on the garment of praise and offer the sacrifice of praises to God. In God, we can find strength, hope, peace and joy. Praise is a powerful weapon that we can use to destroy the plans of enemy. Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name - Hebrews 13:15.
                    Our God gives rest for all who have burdens in their heart. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Mathew 11:28. Whenever we have a burdened heart, let us seek the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7.
                  David chose to praise God in the midst of all his difficulties. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth - Psalm 34:1. Let us also praise and give thanks to the Lord by declaring His goodness. When we wear the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, we will be called the trees of righteousness planted by the Lord that He might be glorified.  May God deliver us from the spirit of heaviness and give us the garment of praise.
                                                 
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and exalt You. Take away the spirit of heaviness from us and give us the garment of praise. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Deliverance Through Thanksgiving

Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Psalm 20:14,15.

                               God inhabits the praises of His people. When we offer sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Most High God and call Him in the day of trouble, He will deliver us. In 2 Chronicles 2, we see that the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir came to battle against Jehoshapat in Judah. Then, Jehoshapat set his face to seek the Lord and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
                          He appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of his holiness. Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever. Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated - 2 Chronicles 2:20. When they began to sing and praise God, their enemies defeated one another instead of defeating Judah.
                              God delivered Judah out of the hands of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, when they praised and called God in their trouble. On the fourth day after the war they praised God at the valley of Berachah which means valley of praise. As God had delivered them from their enemies, they glorified God. Let us also offer thanksgiving to God and call upon Him. Then God will deliver us and we shall glorify Him. Praise brings us victory.
                                                
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our deliverer. Help us to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call upon You for our deliverance. In Jesus name We pray. Amen.

God's Awesome Works At Red Sea

Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man’s behalf! He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot; come, let us rejoice in him. Psalm 66:5,6.

                            The Israelites were pursued by the Egyptians at the Red sea. God miraculously made the sea into dry land and waters were divided. The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground and the waters were a wall to then on their right hand and their left. Then the waters returned and covered the Egyptians and their chariots. God saved Israelites out of the hands of Egyptians.                        
                            Moses sang a song and thanked the Lord who turned the sea into dry land. For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea - Exodus 15:18,19.
                            Miriam praised God with timbrels and dances for His awesome works. Sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! -Exodus 15:21. Let us also praise and thank God for all His awesome works He had done in our life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of miracles. We thank You for all Your awesome works in our life, In Jesus name  we pray. Amen.

Thank God Who Gives Us Victory

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians 15:57.

                      In Exodus 17: 8-14, we see about Israelites getting victory over the Amalekites. Amalekites came to fight with Israelites and so Joshua fought with them. Aaron and Hur held up the hands of Moses. When Moses held up his hand, Israelites prevailed and when he let down his hand, Amalekites prevailed. The Israelites completely defeated Amalekites in the battle.  
                       After winning the battle, Moses built an altar and named the place Jehovah Nissi, the Lord is my banner. Moses acknowledged that God alone brought them victory. And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner – Exodus 17:15. The Lord is our banner who  gives us the victory. 
                      There may be many Amalekites in our life too. But God trains us in war, fights for us and gives us victory. Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1. Let us give thanks to God for granting us victory in all our battles in life. Like Moses, let us also build an altar of thanksgiving in our heart and praise God.
                                      
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our banner. We thank You for giving us victory in all the areas of our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Jonah's Prayer of Thanksgiving

But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. Jonah 2:9.

                Jonah prayed to God from the belly of the fish. He prayed for three days and nights. He acknowledges the sovereignty of God in his situation. When we call upon the Lord in our distress, God will hear us. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears - Psalm 18:6.
               Jonah remembered the Lord. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord – Jonah 2:7. He confessed his sins and renewed his commitment to God. Jonah closed his prayer with praises. With the voice of thanksgiving, He praised God with confidence. He also vowed to serve the Lord. He put his trust on God alone. Salvation is of the Lord – Jonah 2:9.
                God is our deliverer. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress – Psalm 107:6. Jonah cried out to God for help and He remembered the Lord. Even though Jonah rebelled against God and attempted to run away from Him, God still had mercy on him. The Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land - Jonah 2:10. Let us praise God who saves us.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our deliverer. Help us to call upon You with prayer of thanksgiving like Jonah. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God's Mighty Acts & Excellent Greatness

Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! – Psalm 150:1.

                     God created the heaven and earth by His mighty acts. He created us in His own image and all the works of God are mighty. Let us praise the Lord for His mighty acts and His greatness in our life. Praise God for His works in creation, providence and redemption.
                 God rescued Israelites from the Egyptians by His mighty acts. Accordingly, say to the Israelites, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will free you from their bondage, and I will rescue you with an outstretched arm  and by mighty acts of judgment – Exodus 6:6. God has done mighty acts in our life also by rescuing us from the hands of enemy.
                   God is great and greatly to be praised. His greatness is unsearchable. Wherever we go, let us find a way to boast the greatness of God. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all - 1 Chronicles 29:11.       
                                               
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your mighty acts and excellent greatness in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thank God for His Word

        Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Proverbs 30:5.

                      God speaks to us through His word. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work - 2 Timothy 3:16-17. God’s word teaches us, instructs us and corrects us.
                       Let us thank God for His word as it guides us in the way we should go. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path - Psalm 119:105. When we meditate the word of God day and night, whatever we do will prosper. God fulfills all His promises in our life. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us - 2 Corinthians 1:20.
                       The word of God refreshes our soul and strengthens us. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul - Psalm 19:7. God’s word will never pass away. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away - Mathew 24:35. Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore, my soul keeps them. Psalm 119:129.

Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving

 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4.

                         God richly provides us with food, water, clothing, home and all that we need. Everything we have now is a gift of God’s goodness and so let us be thankful to God. God is good to us and His mercy is everlasting. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations - Psalm 100:5.
                            It is God who made us and we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Our God is the gate for the sheep and when we enter the gate, we will be saved and have abundant life. John 10:7-10. Let us enter His gates with thanksgiving and praises.
                        God has redeemed us by His grace and we are made righteous by God. Let us serve God with gladness and joy. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart- Psalm 32:11.

Bless the Lord Oh My Soul


Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalm 103:1,2.

                    Honor and praise God for all the blessings He had given us. Let us bless the Lord and His holy name. Psalm 103:3-5 listed out five benefits of God It states that “Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
                    Let us never forget all the benefits of God. He forgives all our sins and forgets about it. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more - Hebrews 8:12. He is our healer. He heals our diseases and redeems our lives. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7.
                     He crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies. For His loving kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord is everlasting. Praise the Lord! - Psalm 117:2. God satisfies us with good things as He is good. He renews us with new strength like eagles. Bless the Lord oh my soul!!

Proclaim God's Name

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8.

                       God has done marvelous things in our life. Let us take some time to ponder what God has done in our life. Give thanks to the Lord for His works in our life. Let the whole world know what God has done for us. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can proclaim the greatness of the Lord to the whole world.
                         As we seek the Lord, we will never lack any good thing.So let us give thanks to the Lord.The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Psalm 34:10. Let us declare God’s works, glory and salvation among all nations. Let every tribe, language, people and nations be made known about our Lord Jesus Christ.
                      Our Lord is great and greatly to be praised. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods - Psalm 96:4. Like the Samaritan woman, let us also proclaim our Lord to everyone. Let us turn the world upside down by sharing the gospel among nations. We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near. Psalm 75:1.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank You for Your marvelous works in our life. Let us proclaim Your name boldly and tell among the nations what You have done in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thank God in midst of trials.

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them – Acts 16:25.

                            When things seem very dark in life, let us remember that Jesus is our light (John 9:5). Paul says that “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Rom. 8:18).  Therefore, we can hope that “all things work together for good to those who love God” (Rom. 8:28). There is absolutely nothing that can separate us from the love of God.
                             When we are in the midst of trials, the enemy always try to get us to doubt about the goodness of God. But God is always good and His loving kindness is everlasting. Praising God in the midst of a trial may seem impossible for us. When Paul and Silas were in prison, they chose to praise God at midnight instead of worrying about the situation. Their chains fell off and the jailer and his household were saved. (Acts 16:16-34).
                              Choosing to be thankful to God and joyful in spite of circumstances with the help of the Holy spirit can bring others to Christ. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us - Romans 5:3-5.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your goodness in our life. Lead us to praise and thank You in midst of our trials. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Paul's Thanksgiving Prayer for Others


I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy – Philippians 1:3,4.

                     Paul provides an example for us to follow by thanking God for others. He thanked God for Philippi church by remembering them. He stated that he thanked God for them in his every prayer. He thanked God for their fellowship with him in the gospel ministry from the time he visited them until now he was in the prison.
                    Paul always places his thanks expression after his epistle’s greetings. I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers – Ephesians 1:16. We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you - Colossians 1:3. We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers - 1 Thessalonians 1:2,3.
                      I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus - 1 Corinthians 1:4. I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers - Philemon 1:4. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you - Romans 1:8. Like Paul, let us also thank God for one another with joy. Instead of judging others, let us spend time with God by thanking for them.
