It is good to give
thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High – Psalm 92:1.
Hannah poured out her heart to God
and prayed that if God would give her a child, she would give back to Him.
God answered Hannah’s prayer and blessed her with Samuel who became the great
prophet of Israel. God also blessed her with five more children. And the Lord
visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters.
Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the Lord - 1 Samuel 2:21.
Hannah sings a song of thanksgiving in 1
Samuel chapter 2. Her heart rejoices and delights in the Lord. My heart
rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over
my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. There is no one holy like the
Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no rock like our God - 1 Samuel
2:1-2. She praised God that He is a rock and there is no one to protect like
God.
Hannah worships God for His wisdom and holiness. She thanked God for His
sovereignty. She offered a song of thanksgiving to God for the gift of Samuel.
Let us look the ways God had blessed us and offer a song of thanksgiving for all the blessings in our life. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with
thanksgiving- Psalm 69:30.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You with a holy heart. Refresh
our soul and put a song of thanksgiving in our heart for all Your blessings in our life. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
