Deliverance Through Thanksgiving

Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Psalm 20:14,15.

God inhabits the praises of His people. When we offer sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Most High God and call Him in the day of trouble, He will deliver us. In 2 Chronicles 2, we see that the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir came to battle against Jehoshapat in Judah. Then, Jehoshapat set his face to seek the Lord and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
He appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of his holiness. Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever. Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated - 2 Chronicles 2:20. When they began to sing and praise God, their enemies defeated one another instead of defeating Judah.
God delivered Judah out of the hands of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, when they praised and called God in their trouble. On the fourth day after the war they praised God at the valley of Berachah which means valley of praise. As God had delivered them from their enemies, they glorified God. Let us also offer thanksgiving to God and call upon Him. Then God will deliver us and we shall glorify Him. Praise brings us victory.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our deliverer. Help us to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call upon You for our deliverance. In Jesus name We pray. Amen.
