Father Into Your hands I commit My Spirit

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last - Luke 23:46.

The seventh and the last word of Jesus on the cross was “Father, Into Your hands I commit My spirit." Jesus completely committed His spirit to the Father before His death on the cross. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth - Psalm 31:5.
Jesus paid full atonement for our sins, once and for all, on the Cross. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified - Hebrews 10:14. He finished the work what He was meant to do on the earth. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:2 that “for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame”.
Let us also commit ourselves into the hands of God like Jesus.  “For the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” (John 14:30). "I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father." (John 16:28). And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand - John 10:28.

PRAYER: Dear Lord. We commit ourselves into Your hands. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
