Praise God

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name - Psalm 103:1.

Our God knows all our situations and what we are going through everyday. Let us praise the Lord who daily bears our burdens. Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens - Psalm 68:19. He is our strength, song, shield and salvation who is worthy to be praised. The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him - Psalm 28:7. The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him - Exodus 15:2.
Let us praise God for all His mighty acts in our life. Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! - Psalm 150:2. He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen - Deuteronomy 10:21. By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name - Hebrews 13:15.
Let us praise God more continually at all times forever. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth - Psalm 34:1. To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever - Psalm 30:12. But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more - Psalm 71:14. I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving - Psalm 69:30.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You for Your goodness and mighty acts in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Shadow of God's Wings

Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings - Psalm 17:8.

We can hide safely under the shadow of God’s wings for shelter and protection during the times of trials. No evil can harm us as we are very safe in the shadow of God’s wings. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge - Psalm 91:3.4. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings - Psalm 61:4
Our God is merciful and His loving kindness is great. Let us trust God and make shadow of His wings as our refuge. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by - Psalm 57:1. How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings - Psalm 36:7.
God has helped us and sustained us and so let us rejoice in the shadow of His wings. Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice - Psalm 63:7. Let us thank God for His mighty protection and healing under the shadow of His wings. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings – Malachi 4:2.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for hiding us under the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Fire And Hammer

"Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? - Jeremiah 23:29.

God’s word is like a fire and hammer which removes unwanted things from our life. Like how the hammer breaks pieces and fire consumes the remains, the word of God removes all the unwanted things from our life that displeases Him. It cleanses our hearts and minds. Just like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces, God’s word breaks the hardest heart. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh - Ezekiel 36:26.
Like fire, the word of God ignites our soul. The word of God teaches us, corrects us and trains us. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness - 2 Timothy 3:16.  Like fire and hammer, God’s word refines us and shapes us. Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me - Psalm 119:133.
God’s living and powerful word purifies our souls. Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart - 1 Peter 1:22. Let us humbly accept the word of God in our hearts as it saves our souls. So, get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls - James 1:21.

PRAYER : Dear Lord, We thank You for Your word that cleanses our hearts and ignites our souls. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Isaac Reaped Hundredfold During Famine

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him - Genesis 26:12.

There was a famine in the land at the time of Isaac just as there was a famine in the time of Abraham. There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar – Genesis 26:1. God told Isaac to remain in Gerar and promised to bless him there. Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you” - Genesis 26:2,3.
Though there was a famine in the land, the Lord said Isaac to live in that land and Isaac obeyed. So Isaac dwelt in Gerar - Genesis 26:6. He trusted the Lord and obeyed by remaining in Gerar. There was a great blessing in obedience. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land - Isaiah 1:9. Regardless of the famine situation, Isaac sowed in that land as God had promised to bless him. God is always faithful and He keeps His promises.
The Lord blessed Isaac and in the same year Isaac reaped a hundredfold of what he had sowed. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous - Genesis 26:13. God can bless us abundantly even in the midst of hard times. He blesses us and multiplies us in a way that we have not imagined. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us - Ephesians 3:20. Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you - Hebrews 6:14

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord who blesses us. Help us to obey You and trust You in the midst of all our situations. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

More Valuable Than Sparrows

Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows - Luke 12:7.

We are more valuable to God than many sparrows. Only man was created in the image of God for His glory. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him - Genesis 1:27. God had numbered all our hairs. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered - Luke 12:7. He had engraved us on the palms of His hands. See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hand - Isaiah 49:16.
God who values us, takes care of all our needs. Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? - Mathew 6:26. So, let us not fear or worry about tomorrow as our heavenly father knows all our needs. Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things - Mathew 6:31,32.
God loves us and we are more precious to Him. None of the sparrows are forgotten by God. Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God - Luke 12:6. As we are more valuable to God than many sparrows, we will never be forgotten by God. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to not fear or worry about anything in our life as we are more valuable to You than many sparrows. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Pure In Heart

Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart - Psalm 73:1.

Our God is good to all who are pure in heart. God wants us to seek Him with whole heart. Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart - Psalm 119:2. We can see God when our heart is pure and we are blessed. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God - Mathew 5:8. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks - Luke 6:45.
We should guard our heart as good things we store in heart will bring good and evil things we store in heart will bring evil. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked - Jeremiah 17:9. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.  All these evil things come from within and defile a man - Mark 7:21-23.
The Lord cannot hear us if we have iniquity in our heart. If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear - Psalm 66:18. These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me - Mathew 15:8. Let us honor God with a pure heart. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart – Psalm 24:3.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Create in us a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Remembers Us

The Lord remembers us and will bless us - Psalm 115:12.

Our God remembers us and blesses us. God remembered Noah and those on the ark after 150 days of flooding. Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided - Genesis 8:1. When God was about to destroy the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, He remembered Abraham and spared Lot (Genesis 19:29).
God remembers us and answers our prayers. Rachel who could not bear children was remembered by God. Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb - Genesis 30:22. God also remembered Hannah and answered her petition. Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her - 1 Samuel 1:19.
God remembers all our works we do for Him. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister - Hebrews 6:10. We serve a wonderful God who remembers everything about our life. Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation - Psalm 106:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for remembering us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Hold Your Peace

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace – Exodus 14:14.
God wants us to hold our peace in all of our situations. He is the Lord who fights all our battles. Though David had many painful situations, he was holding his peace by trusting God’s protection. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around - Psalm 3:5,6.
Though Job lost everything, he was holding his peace. In all this Job did not sin with his lips - Job 2:10. Instead of worrying about our problems, let us trust God and hold our peace. Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7.
We know that peace is the fruit of the spirit. Let us hold our peace even in the time of afflictions as the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save - Zephaniah 3:17. The Lord who is in our midst will fight all our battles and so let us hold peace in afflictions. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God - Mathew 5:9.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God who fights all our battles. Help us to hold our peace in times of afflictions. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Knows Us

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me – Psalm 139:1.

God knows everything about us and our thoughts. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar - Psalm 139:2. God knows us even before we were born. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations - Jeremiah 1:5. He had numbered our hairs. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered - Mathew 10:30.
God knows all our ways completely. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely - Psalm 139:4. But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold - Job 23:10. God knows how much we can bear temptations. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it -1 Corinthians 10:13.
God knows all our needs even before we ask Him. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him - Mathew 6:8. For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth - 2 Chronicles 16:9. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope - Jeremiah 29:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You that You know us and love us perfectly. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Is At Work

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure - Philippians 2:13.
God works in us, for us and through us for His glory. Equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen - Hebrews 13:21. But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working” - John 5:17.
God is working great in our lives. When God is at work, we need to be patient and wait for God. Those who wait for God will never be put to shame. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry - Habakkuk 2:3. God’s work is perfect. He is the Rock, His work is perfect - Deuteronomy 32:4.
God knows well what is best for us and He is working everything in our life for good. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose - Romans 8:28. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us - Ephesians 3:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You as You are at work in our lives. As all Your works are perfect, help us to wait for it patiently. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Health To Our Flesh

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones - Proverbs 3:7, 8.

God’s will for us is to live in divine health. The plan of God for us is to have an abundant life whereas devil always tries to steal, kill and destroy our life. When we fear the Lord and depart from evil, it will be health to our flesh and strength to our bones. There is life and power in God’s word. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life - John 6:63.
God’s word brings life and healing to every part of our lives. When we pay attention to the word of God and keep it in our heart, it brings health to our flesh. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh - Proverbs 4:20-22.
A peaceful heart gives life to the body.  A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones - Proverbs 14:30. Speaking pleasant words brings health to the bones. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones - Proverbs 16:24.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your word that brings us life and healing. Help us to speak pleasant words and live in peace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Nothing Can Hurt Us

For I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you - Acts 18:10.

God is with us and so nothing shall by any means can hurt us. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you - Luke 10:19. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you - Psalm 91:7. We are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Nothing can harm the children of God. When Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den, God shut the mouths of lions such that they did not harm him. However, when the wicked were thrown into the same den of lions the next morning, they were killed by lions. Daniel 6:24 tells us that “And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions- them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den”.
God is our shelter and a strong tower from the enemy. You are a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy - Psalm 61.3. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge - Psalm 91:4. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul - Psalm 121:7. The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him, who shelters him all the day long; And he shall dwell between His shoulders - Deuteronomy 33:12.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for preserving us from all evil and not allowing anything to hurt us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Intercession For Others

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth - Psalm 145:18.

Abraham interceded for the people of Sodom (Genesis 18:23-25). Moses pleaded God’s mercy for Israelite people. Therefore, He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them - Psalm 106:23. Daniel prayed to God for his people. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name - Daniel 9:19.
Jesus instructed us to pray for all those who mistreat us. Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you - Luke 6:28. When Job prayed for his friends, God restored him. We will be healed when we pray for each other. Pray for one another, that you may be healed - James 5:16. Paul says that we have to pray behalf of all men as God desires all men to be saved (1 Tim. 2:1-2).
The Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God as we do not know how to pray or what to pray for. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” - Galatians 4:6. Let us also intercede for others as God is near to all who call upon Him in truth. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others - Philippians 2:4.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Fill us with the spirit of prayer to intercede for others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Develop Self-Control

The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers - 1 Peter 4:7.

Self-control is a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22,23). Self-control is needed in our words, thoughts and actions. We always have a battle in our minds to control our thoughts. We must bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls - Proverbs 25:28. Anyone who is patient has great understanding. But anyone who gets angry quickly shows how foolish they are - Proverbs 14:29.
When we master our own spirit, we are stronger than one who takes a city. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city - Proverbs 16:32. The grace of God helps us to control ourselves. His grace teaches us to say no to godless ways and sinful desires. We must control ourselves. We must do what is right. We must lead godly lives in today’s world – Titus 2:12.
We can never lead a peaceful life without self-control. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak - Mathew 26:41. The Holy spirit helps us in our weaknesses. Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses - Romans 8:26. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13. Let us develop self-control in every area of our life through the Lord who strengthens us.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to produce the fruit of self-control in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Holy God

Let them praise Your great and awesome name - He is holy. (Psalm 99:3).

Our God is holy. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” - Isaiah 6:3. He is glorious in holiness. Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? - Exodus 15:11. His name is holy. For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place – Isaiah 57:15
God’s will for us is to be holy. It is God’s will that you should be sanctified - 1 Thessalonians 4 :3. With His purer eyes, He cannot look on wickedness. You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness - Habakkuk 1:13. We cannot see God without holiness. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord - Hebrews 12:14.
As God who called us is holy, let us also be holy in all we do. But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy” - 1 Peter 1:15. We are the children of God and so let us purify ourselves just as He is pure. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure – 1 John 3:3. For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy - Leviticus 11:44.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Holy God. Help us to lead a holy life by the power of Your Holy spirit. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Trust God

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him - Psalm 28:7.

God is our salvation, strength, shield and defense. Let us trust God and not be afraid of anything. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation - Isaiah 12:2. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? - Psalm 56:3,4.
Let us trust God as He will never forsake all those who seek Him. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You - Psalm 9:10. He will keep us in perfect peace when we trust in Him. You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You - Isaiah 26:3.
As God’s ways are higher than our ways, let us commit all our ways to God and trust in Him. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass - Psalm 37:5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:5,6. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord - Jeremiah 17:7.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We place our trust completely on You in every area of our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

None Like Our God

I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me - Isaiah 45:5.
There is none like our God. Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me - Isaiah 46:9. There is no one merciful like our God. Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy - Micah 7:18.
No one is greater than our God. How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears - 2 Samuel 7:22. There is none greater than our God in wisdom. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?” - Romans 11:33-35.
Nothing is too hard for our Lord who made the heaven and earth with His great power.  Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You - Jeremiah 32:17. Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? – Exodus 15:11.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You as there is none like You who is sovereign and great in power. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Walking In The Will Of God

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven - Mathew 7:21.

Jesus came down to earth to do the will of father who sent Him. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me - John 6:38. His food is to do the will of God. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work - John 4:34. God works in us to do His will. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure - Philippians 2:13.
David is a man of God’s heart who walked in the will of God. He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will’ - Acts 13:22. Walking in the will of God means walking in the steps which God has ordered and planned for our life in a way that pleases Him. Make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen - Hebrews 13:21.
When we do the will of God, we will be in the family of God. For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother - Mathew 12:50. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil - 1 Peter 3:17. Let us understand and be filled with the knowledge of God’s will. Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is - Ephesians 5:17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to understand Your will and walk according to it. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Fixing Our Eyes On Christ

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith - Hebrews 12:1,2.

To run the race of our lives successfully, let us fix our eyes on Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. We will be distracted by situations around us unless we fix our eyes on Jesus. Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments - Psalm 119:6. We need to run the race of our life that is marked out for us with perseverance and faith by fixing our eyes on Jesus.
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we can’t see. By faith, Abraham went to the land that Lord showed him without even knowing where he is going. By faith, Moses did not consider the luxuries of Pharaoh’s household and instead he identified himself as one of God’s people and endured slavery. They ran the race of their lives by fixing their eyes only on God by faith.
Peter began to sank when he took the eyes off Jesus while He was walking on water.  But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”.  And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”.  And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased - Mathew 14:30-32. Instead of looking on our problems, let us fix our eyes on Christ who is the author and perfecter of our faith.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to fix our eyes always on You and not on our situations. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Who Rescues Us

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them - Psalm 34:7.
God gave Himself for our sins to rescue us. Who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen – Galatians 1:3. He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of God. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins - Colossians 1:13,14.
God rescued the people of Israelites from slavery in Egypt. That day the Lord saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore - Exodus 14:30. He rescued us from devil’s tyranny. But thus says the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible be delivered; For I will contend with him who contends with you, And I will save your children - Isaiah 49:25.
When we fear God, the angel of the Lord always encamps us and rescues us. He rescues us when we are trapped. We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped - Psalm 124:6-7.  Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me - Psalm 142:6.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank for You are the God who rescues us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Feeding On God's Word

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom - Colossians 3:16.

The word of God stands forever. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever - Isaiah 40:8. The word of God is living and powerful - Hebrews 4:12. It refreshes our soul. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul - Psalm 19:7a. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God -Mathew 4:4.
God’s word gives life and health to us. Proverbs 4:22 tells us that God’s words are “life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.” The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life - John 6:63. It heals us. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions - Psalm 107:20.
Feeding on God’s word brings joy and delight to our heart. Your words were found and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart. For I am called by your name, O Lord God of hosts - Jeremiah 15:16. As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow – 1 Peter 2:2. Let us feed more on God’s word.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to feed more on Your word that is living and powerful every day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Mary Had Chosen The Best Part

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth – Colossians 3:2.

In Luke 10:38-42, we see that Martha invited Jesus to her home.  Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, tell her to help me” – Luke 10:38,39.
Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and heard His word whereas Martha was troubled by many tasks. Martha’s worry and distraction prevented her from being present with Jesus. And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her” - Luke 10:41,42.
Like Mary, let us also choose the best part of seeking God first instead of being worried and distracted by worldly things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you - Mathew 6:33. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Mathew 11:28. Let us love the Lord with all our heart, all our mind, and all our strength.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to choose the best part in our life by seeking You first  like Mary. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Parable of The Sower

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" - Matthew 13:9.

In the parable of the sower, the seeds represent the word of God and the soil represents the heart of the hearer. The same seed is sown to various types of soils. The growth of the seed depends on the type of soil. Let us hear the word of God and bear much fruits. Let us also sow God’s word everywhere in the world. So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it - Isaiah 55:11.

Hard Soil
The seeds that fell on the wayside was taken away by the devil as the one who hear the word of God had hardness of heart. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside - Mathew 13:19. The wicked one is the devil who takes away the word from the heart. The devil comes and takes away from their hearts. Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them - 2 Corinthians 4:4.

Rocky Soil
The seeds that fell on the rocky soil represent those who hear the word of God and receive it with joy. But later they return to their old way of life. But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles - Mathew 13:20,21.

Thorny Soil
Thorns represent the worldliness. Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful – Mathew 13:22. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy – 1 Timothy 6:17.

Good Soil
The seeds that are falling on good soil grow well and bear fruits. But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty - Mathew 13:23. As the roots go deep, it produces fruit in due season. Jesus said ‘Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone, a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds' - John 12.24.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Prepare our hearts to receive Your word and bear much fruits. Help us to sow Your word to many hearts. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
