Jehovah-Rohi

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want - Psalm 23:1.

Jehovah-Rohi means “The Lord is my Shepherd”. As our shepherd, God guides us, provides us and protects us. He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young - Isaiah 40:11. He tenderly leads us and take a good care of us. He is our good shepherd. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep - John 10:11.
As the good shepherd, He seeks and saves the sheep that get lost. In the parable of lost sheep, Jesus asks “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? - Luke 15:4. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls – 1 Peter 2:25.
Let us listen to the voice of our shepherd and follow Him. John 10:27,28 says: “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand.” When we trust the Lord, He will be our good shepherd and we will be His precious sheep. Psalm 37:3 says, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness”.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our good Shepherd. Help us to listen to Your voice and follow You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
