The Lord will fight for you, and you
shall hold your peace – Exodus 14:14.
God wants us to hold our peace in all of
our situations. He is the Lord who fights all our battles. Though David had many
painful situations, he was holding his peace by trusting God’s protection. I
lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of
ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around - Psalm 3:5,6.
Though Job lost everything, he was holding
his peace. In all this Job did not sin with his lips - Job 2:10. Instead of worrying
about our problems, let us trust God and hold our peace. Be anxious for nothing
but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus -
Philippians 4:6,7.
We know that peace is the fruit of the spirit. Let us hold our peace even in the time
of afflictions as the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the
world. The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save - Zephaniah
3:17. The Lord who is in our midst will fight all our battles and so let us hold peace in afflictions. Blessed
are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God - Mathew 5:9.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God who fights all our battles. Help us to hold
our peace in times of afflictions. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
