Crossing The River Jordan

And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you” - Joshua 3:5.

Before crossing the Jordan river, Israelites waited for three days. They were also asked to go after the ark of the covenant, the priests and the Levites bearing it. When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it - Joshua 3:2. Joshua also told the people to sanctify themselves for God to do wonders. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God - Leviticus 20:7.
As it was the flood season, the Jordan river was overflowing. With faith, the priests stepped into the water. As soon as their feet touched the water, it piled up in a heap. Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground - Joshua 3:17. The people of Israel crossed the river of Jordan on dry ground.
Let us wait and sanctify ourselves for God to do wonders in our life. Whatever crossover moments we face in life like Jordan, let us stand up and cross it with faith. Instead of focusing on our obstacles, let us look upon God who gives us victory. The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head - Micah 2:13.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to cross all the obstacles in our life by faith. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
