If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land - Isaiah 1:19.
Abraham was a man who was willing and obedient to the words of God. He left his father’s country and
went to the place where God showed him. Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get
out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land
that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make
your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth
shall be blessed” - Genesis 12:1-3.
Abraham obeyed God willingly without
knowing where he was going and what next to expect. So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to
him - Genesis 12:4. He never returned to that land again and even instructed
his servant never to take his son to that land. But Abraham said to him, “Beware
that you do not take my son back there” - Genesis 24:6. When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, he obeyed immediately.
Abraham obeyed God in all and he was greatly blessed in all things. The Lord had blessed Abraham in all things - Genesis 24:1. God fulfilled all the promises He made to him and blessed him abundantly. Let us be willing and obedient to God to eat the good of the land. I brought you into a bountiful country, To eat its fruit and its goodness - Jeremiah 1:27. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase - Psalm 95:12.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be willing
and obedient to You to eat the good of the land. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
