So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you - Joel 2:25.
God wants us to restore everything that we
have lost in the past years. This is the time of God’s restoration in our
lives. He will restore our health that was lost. For I will restore health to
you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord - Jeremiah 30:17. Restoration
starts with our relationship to God. Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of
hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you - Zechariah 9:12. He
restores our soul. He restores my soul - Psalm 23:3.
God
restored the losses of Job when he prayed for his friends. And the Lord
restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job
twice as much as he had before - Job 42:10. He will restore all our wasted
years. Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore
my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You
will increase my honor and comfort me once more - Psalm 71:20,21. Restore to me
the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit - Psalm 51:12.
God will restore us the joy and peace that we have lost earlier. Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs - Isaiah 61:7. Let us rejoice and thank God for restoring our lost years. Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done marvelous things! Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength - Joel 2:21, 22. We went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance - Psalm 66:12.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of restoration. We thank You for your
restoration in every area of our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
