He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.- Matthew 28:6.
The prophecy that Jesus will be
risen in the third day was fulfilled. The Son of Man must be delivered into the
hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again - Luke 24:7.
He is risen from the dead as He said. But now Christ is risen from the dead,
and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by
man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam
all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive - 1 Corinthians 15:20-22.
Christ having been raised from the
dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him - Romans 6:9. For
Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might
bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit
-1 Peter 3:18. But God raised Him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of
death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him - Acts 2:24.
He conquered death and was victorious over the grave. “O Death, where is your
sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" - I Corinthians 15:55.
Let us praise our risen Lord as we are born again to a living hope through His resurrection. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - 1 Peter 1:3-5. The same spirit that resurrected Jesus and gave life dwells in us. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We
thank You for giving us a living hope through Your resurrection. In Jesus’ name
we pray. Amen.
