Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! (Psalm 47:6).
Praise makes the enemies to flee. The
enemies He appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise
the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise
the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” Now when they began to sing and to
praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount
Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated - 2 Chronicles 20:21, 22.
The power of God was displayed when Paul and Silas
sang hymns and praised God. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and
singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there
was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and
immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed - Acts 16:25,26.
Jericho fell down as the people
began to praise God. So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets.
And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people
shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat - Joshua 6:20. I will
bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth -
Psalm 34:1. Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day - Psalm
96:1,2.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We
sing praises and bless Your name. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
