Perfecting Holiness In The Fear of God

  Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God - 2 Corinthians 7:1.         

              God had called us and chosen us to lead a holy life. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness - 1 Thessalonians 4:7. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight - Ephesians 1:4. He has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time - 2 Timothy 1:9. 

            We should perfect holiness in the fear of God as we are the temple of living God. And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”- 2 Corinthians 6: 14-16.

             Let us perfect holiness in our life by being holy in all we do as our Holy God. Let them praise Your great and awesome name - He is holy - Psalm 99:3. But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy” - 1 Peter 1:15,16. You shall be holy; for I am holy - Leviticus 11:44. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord - Hebrews 12:14. Put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness - Ephesians 4:24.
