Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger - James 1:19.
Our Lord is gracious, compassionate, great in love and mercy and slow to anger. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy - Psalm 145:8. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness - Psalm 86:15. Our anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires - James 1:20.
We give the devil a foothold in our life when we are angry. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold - Ephesians 4:26–27. Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools - Ecclesiastes 7:9. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city - Proverbs 16:32.
Let us be slow to anger and never give place to devil. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you - Ephesians 4:31, 32. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath - Ephesians 4:26.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be slow to anger and rich in love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
