Jesus Came Down From Heaven

 I am the living bread which came down from heaven - John 6:51.

            Jesus came down from heaven to save us, to bring us light and to give us an abundant life and to destroy the works of devil. Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross! - Philippians 2:6-8.

To seek and save the lost

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost - Luke 19:10.

To destroy the works of the devil

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work - 1 John 3:8.

To bring light to the dark world

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness - John 12:46.

To give us an abundant life

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly - John 10:10.

To serve and to give His life as a ransom for many

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many - Mark 10:45.

To call sinners to repentance

For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance - Mathew 9:13.

To do the will of Father

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me - John 6:38.

                                                                  

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We lift Your name on high. We thank You for coming from heaven to earth in the appearance of man to save us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
