The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” - Judges 6:14.
God told Gideon to go with the strength he had to save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.” - Judges 6:15,16. Gideon delivered Israel from the hand of Midianites. Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, “Rule over us, you and your son and your grandson also, for you have saved us from the hand of Midian” - Judges 8:22.
God wants to use us for His purpose with the strength we have as His grace is sufficient for us and His power will be made perfect in our weakness. My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong - 2 Corinthians 12:8-10.
Let us commit to God's purpose with the strength we have like Gideon as God is looking to strengthen all those hearts who are fully committed to Him. For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him - 2 Chronicles 16:9. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10. Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say - Exodus 4:12.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us go in the strength we have to fulfill your purpose as You are with us to strengthen us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
