In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain”? - Psalm 11:1.
God is our refuge. The God of Jacob is our refuge - Psalm 46:7. O Lord, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction - Jeremiah 16:19. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you - Deuteronomy 33:27.
David said, “In the LORD I take refuge”when his friends told him to flee like a bird to mountain. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed - Psalm 57:1. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Psalm 61:3,4. God protects all who take refuge in Him. He shields all who take refuge in him - 2 Samuel 22:31. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. Nothing can be our refuge except our Lord and so let us trust Him, pour out our heart before Him and take refuge in Him. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us - Psalm 62:8. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him - Psalm 34:8. Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy - Psalm 5:11. But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble - Psalm 59:16.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us take refuge in You as You shield all those who take refuge in You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
