Nothing Is Better Than Our God

 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you - Psalm 63:3.             

Man's empty praise

              We do not deserve any praise from man as everything comes from God. They loved the praise of men more than the praise of God - John 12:43. To seek one’s own glory is not glory - Proverbs 25:27. The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and a man is tested by his praise -  Proverbs 27:21. Everything comes from God; everything exists by his power; and everything is intended for his glory - Romans 11:36. Let God alone deserve all praise for anything good in us.

Treasures will fade

              Our treasures on earth will fade. Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also - Matthew 9-19-21. Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain; He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them - Psalm 39:6. 

                                                There is nothing better than our God!!

I searched the world

But it couldn't fill me

Man's empty praise

And treasures that fade

Are never enough

Then You came along

And put me back together

And every desire

Is now satisfied

Here in Your love

Nothing is better than You

PRAYER: Dear Lord,  Nothing is better than You in our life. Let us always realize that all praises of men about us are empty and all our treasures will fade. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
