The Humbled And Exalted Christ

 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted - Luke 14:11.

              Jesus being equal with God humbled himself and came to the world in the appearance of man. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:5-8. He also humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the will of Father and died on the cross for us.

               God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name above every name. Every knee will bow at the name of Jesus and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father - Philippians 2:9-11.

                Let us have the same attitude as Christ by clothing us with humility. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:5-7. God will exalt us at the right time as we humble ourselves.                                             

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be humble like how You humbled and submitted Yourself to the will of God. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen,

 

Purpose of Jesus Coming To The World

 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons - Galatians 4:4,5.

Jesus Came to Save Us From Our Sins

                     And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins - Matthew 1:21. Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! - Luke 1:29.

Jesus Came to Destroy Satan’s Work

At the incarnation, our Savior came not only to defeat death but also to destroy the works of the devil - 1 John 3:8.

Jesus Came to Give His Life as a Ransom for Many

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many - Mark 10:45.

Jesus Came To Call Sinners To Repentance

Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance” - Luke 5:31,32.

Jesus Came To Do The Will of Father

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me - John 6:38.

Jesus Came To Give Us Abundant Life

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly - John 10:10.

Jesus Came to Give Us Eternal Life

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

Hope of The World

 Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God - Romans 5:2.

                 The birth of Christ brought us hope and light in our lives. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - 1 Peter 1:3. God who is our hope gives us hope and future. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope - Jeremiah 29:11.

               Christ dwells in us as hope of glory. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory - Colossians 1:27. He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love - Ephesians 3:16,17. He is the hope of the world in hopeless situations.

               May our God of hope fill us with all joy and peace. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit - Romans 15:13. Let us wait for the return of Christ and His glorious appearing with hope. Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ - Titus 2:13.

Joseph's Obedience For God's Salvation Plan To Be Fulfilled

 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly - Matthew 1:19.

                   Joseph was told by an angel not to be afraid of taking Mary as his wife when he thought of putting her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”  Matthew 1:18-21.

               Joseph took Mary as his wife as commanded by the Angel and he did not think about what others will talk about him He threw away his fear and carried out the will of the Lord for his life by faith and obeyed the Lord. Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus. Matthew 1:24.

           Joseph fled to Egypt and stayed there as instructed by the Angel. When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”- Matthew 2:14, 15. He was very careful to obey each and every command for God’s salvation plan about Jesus to be fulfilled. But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting - Micah 5:2.

God With Us - Immanuel

   “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” - Mathew 1:23.                   

                 The name of our God is Immanuel, God with us. Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel - Isaiah 7:14.  Let us not fear about anything as God is with us. I will fear no evil; For You are with me - Psalm 23:4. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6. The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save - Zephaniah 3:17. I will live with them and walk among them - 2 Corinthians 6:16.

God is with us to strengthen us

              Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

God is with us in all situations

                     God is with us in all situations. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you - Isaiah 43:2.  

God is with us to guide us

                God is with us to guide us and teach us in the way we should go. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8.

God is with us to protect us

                  The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge - Psalm 46:7.  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.

God is with us always

               God is with us always. I am with you always, even to the end of the age - Mathew 28:20.

Glory To God In The Highest

            Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - Luke 2:14.

                 The angel of the Lord announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds who were watching the flocks by night. Then, the angel along with the multitude of the heavenly host praised God saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”. Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, For great is the glory of the Lord - Psalm 138:5.

                   Our God deserves all the glory, honor and power. You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power - Revelation 4:11. Let us praise and give all the glory to the Lord that is due in His name. Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness - Psalm 29:2. Christ in us is the hope of glory. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory - Colossians 1:27.  

                Let us declare the glory of God among the nations so that all people will bring glory to the name of the Lord. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples - Psalm 96:3. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, O lord; they will bring glory to your name - Psalm 86:9. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea - Habakkuk 2:14.

                                              

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Great is Your glory. We give You all the glory, honor and power. Help us to declare Your glory among the nations. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Birth of Jesus Christ

 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 1:18.

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins - Matthew 1:21.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel - Isaiah 7:14.

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus” - Luke 1:30-31.

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” - Matthew 1:22-23.

So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn - Luke 2:6-7.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people” - Luke 2:10.

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord - Luke 2:11.

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - Luke 2:14.

Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them - Luke 2:20.

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace - Isaiah 9:6.
