And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for
ours only but also for the whole world – 1 John 2:2.
Jesus
came to this world to save us from our sins. And she will bring forth a Son,
and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins -
Mathew 1:21. God loved us so much and so He gave His only son. God so loved the
world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not
perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the
world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through
him - John 3:16-17.
We
are redeemed and justified by the grace of God. All have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:23). Jesus paid the penalty of all our sins. He
made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him - 2 Corinthians 5:21. For the Son of Man came to
seek and to save what was lost - Luke 19:10.
And
being found in human form, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point
of death, even death on a cross - Philippians 2:7. As God had saved us, sin
cannot have dominion over us. Sin shall
not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace - Romans
6:14. Glory to God, our savior!!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our Savior. We thank You for coming
to this world to save us from our sins. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
