Mary's Song

                                    I will magnify God with thanksgiving - Psalm 69:30.

1. Mary’s Song of Love

                      Mary magnified the Lord and exalted Him. Mary’s song is a song of love, faith and hope. The song had scriptures from Genesis, Job, Psalm and Isaiah. It showed Mary’s love for God. My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me - holy is his name - Luke 1:46-49.

2. Mary’s Song of Faith

                     Mary’s song displayed her faith on what God would do through her. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty - Luke 1:50-53.       

3. Mary’s Song of Hope

                     Mary’s hope is on the promises of God. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors - Luke 1:54-55. Through her, the word became flesh and God’s promises were fulfilled. Let the song of Mary become our song too.

                                        

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We magnify You and exalt You. Let our hearts be filled with song of love, faith and hope in You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
