And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in
swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them
in the inn – Luke 2:7.
Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem from
Nazareth to register for the census. Luke 2:4-6: “Joseph also went up from
Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth into Judea, to the city of David, which is
called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be
registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that
while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.”
There was no room in the inn as there was census in Bethlehem.
So Mary and Joseph went to a stable behind the inn and there Jesus was born. He
was wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger. Jesus’ humble birth teaches
us how humble we should be in our life. And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have
holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay
His head.”- Luke 9:58.
Jesus
came to make room for us though there was no room for Him during His birth. John
14:2-3 says "In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there
ye may be also."
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us prepare our heart to make room for You.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
I love you, Jeba!! Thank you and blessed Christmas!!! <3
