Joy to the World

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. Matthew 2:10.

God who created man became man. He became like us so that we can also become like Him. His birth brought great joy to the world. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.”- Luke 2:10-11.
When the wise men saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. They saw the child with mother Mary and offered Him gifts. And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away - Isaiah 51:11. Let us spread the joy that we received from God to others in the world.
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises- Psalm 98:4. True and everlasting joy comes from God. In His presence there is fullness of joy. May the God of hope fill us with joy and peace. Joy to the world is a hymn that was written nearly 300 years ago by Isaac Watts based on Psalm 98.
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for filling us with great joy.  Help us to spread the joy to the world during this Christmas season. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
