And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us - John 1:14.
John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". The verse 14 says, “And
the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”. From the fullness
of God, we all received grace upon grace.
God came to the world in the likeness of man. Rather,
he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in
human likeness – Philippians 2:7. The dwelling place of God is with man. And I
heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of
God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God
himself will be with them as their God - Rev. 21:3.
The
son of God became son of man when the word became flesh. He was fully God and
fully son of man. The love of God for us is great. In this the love of God was
manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world,
that we might live through Him. For You have magnified Your word above all Your
name - Psalm 138:2.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for becoming flesh and dwelling
among us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
