God gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and
to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good –
Titus 2:14.
Jesus Christ is our redeemer. He
came to earth to redeem us as He wanted us not to be perished. The Lord is not
slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering
toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to
repentance -2 Peter 3:9. God desires all men to be saved and to come to the
knowledge of the truth - 1 Timothy 2:4.
We are redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. Colossians 1:14 says,
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” I
Peter 1:18-19 says, “For you know that it was not with perishable things such
as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down
to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb
without blemish or defect.”
No matter what troubles that may come our
way, just know that our redeemer lives. In the world you will have tribulation;
but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world – John 16:31. I know that my
redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth – Job 19:25. Let our not fear about anything as our living redeemer holds our future.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our redeemer. We thank You for
redeeming us by Your precious blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
