Peace on Earth

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men! – Luke 2:14.

               Jesus came to this world to give us peace. Paul said “Jesus himself is our peace” (Ephesians 2:14). God gives His peace to us. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid - John 14:27.

                We can always hold the peace of God in us, even if other things are falling apart. Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end – Isaiah 9:7. God will keep us in perfect peace when our mind is stayed on Him. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you - Isaiah 26:3.

               God's suffering on the cross brought us peace. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed - Isaiah 53:5. Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all - 2 Thessalonians 3:16. Let God's peace surround us in every way.

                                       

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the God of peace. We thank You for leaving us the great peace which the world never gives us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
