For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen,
to the glory of God through us - 2 Corinthians 1:20.
In the very first book of the Old
Testament, the first promise about the coming of Christ was given. And I will put
enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall
bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel - Genesis 3:15. In Mathew chapter
1, we see the genealogy of Jesus which refers to Him as the son of David, the
son of Abraham. And through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed
- Genesis 22:18.
The prophet Isaiah said about the birth of
Christ nearly 600 years ago before the birth of Jesus. Therefore the Lord
Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,
and shall call His name Immanuel - Isaiah 7:14. We see about the fulfillment of this prophecy in Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 1:26-38.
In Micah 5:2, we see that Bethlehem will be
the birth place of Messiah. But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little
among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to
be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting - Micah
5:2. Mary and Joseph went from Nazareth to Bethlehem and there Jesus was born -
Luke 2:4-7.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the promise keeper. We thank You
for coming to this world as Savior and we believe that You will fulfill all the
promises in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
