It Is Finished

 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit - John 19:30.

             The purpose of Jesus coming to this world is to save us from sins. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - 1 Timothy 1:15. Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! - John 1:29. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost - Luke 19:10. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many - Mark 10:45.

           Jesus finished His purpose in the world by doing the will of Father. I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me - John 5:30. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me - John 6:38. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me - John 5:30.

             Like how Jesus had victoriously finished the task that His father assigned Him, let us also finish our race victoriously. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do - John 17:4.I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith - 2 Timothy 4:7.

                                                           

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to finish our race victoriously like how You fulfilled the will and finished the work of Father. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
