He is not here; for He is risen, as He said - Matthew 28:6.
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to the tomb of Jesus with the spices they have prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. Two men who stood by them in shining garments told them that He is risen and then they remembered the Words of Jesus. He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ And they remembered His words - Luke 24:6-8.
Jesus conquered the death and the death has no longer dominion over Him. Death no longer has dominion over Him - Romans 6:9. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit -1 Peter 3:18. But God raised Him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him - Acts 2:24. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death - Revelation 1:18.
Let us thank God for His great mercy for us to be born again to a living hope through His resurrection. According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - 1 Peter 1:3-5. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live - John 11:25.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the resurrection and the life. We thank You for giving us living hope through Your resurrection. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
