I will remember the works of the
Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old - Psalm 77:11.
We can proclaim the future victories by
pronouncing the past victories given by the Lord. Remember His marvelous works
which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth - Psalm 105:5. David
remembered his past victories and it gave him more confidence that he would
defeat Goliath easily. He knew that the God who was with him when he faced the
lion and the bear would give him victory when he faced Goliath.
David pronounced his past
victories by telling to Saul about how the Lord gave him victory over bear and
lion. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised
Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the
living God. Moreover, David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of
the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this
Philistine.” - 1 Samuel 17:36,37.
David defeated Goliath with the help of the
Lord. We can defeat any kind of giant in our life as greater is He that is in us than He
that is in the world. For the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight
for you against your enemies, to save you - Deuteronomy 20:4. God wants us to
remember the past victories He had given us as it would increase our faith. Let
us give glory to God for all our blessings and past victories. Sing to Him,
sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works- Psalm 105:2.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord
who gives us the victory. We thank You for all the past victories You have
given us in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
