Praying In Authority

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need - Hebrews 4:16.

There is power in prayer when we pray in authority. God has given us authority over all the power of enemies. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you - Luke 10:19. We pray in Jesus’ name and speak through His authority as there is abundant power in the name of Jesus. He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross - Colossians 2:15.
God’s power can move the mountains in our life when we pray in authority. So Jesus answered and said to them, Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:22,23. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it - John 14:13,14.
Jesus demonstrated His authority over nature by calming a storm on the sea of Galilee. Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm - Mark 4:39. Great miracles happened when Jesus commanded with authority and healed the sick people. Let us exercise our authority in prayer for God to work in a powerful way.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to experience great miracles in our life by praying in authority. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
