Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I
will say, rejoice - Philippians 4:4.
It is the will of God for us to rejoice
always. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for
this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Each
day given to us is the gift from God and so let us rejoice in the Lord regardless of the
circumstances of our life. This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice
and be glad in it - Psalm 118:24. The joy of the Lord is our strength. And my
soul shall be joyful in the Lord; It shall rejoice in His salvation - Psalm 35:9.
Habakkuk says that he will rejoice in
the Lord, even though things around him desolate. Though the fig tree may not
blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And
the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And
there be no herd in the stalls - Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in
the God of my salvation - Habakkuk 3:17,18. Our joy can be found in Christ alone.
Though Paul went through various
trials, he says us to rejoice in the Lord always from prison. I have learned
the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or
hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who
gives me strength – Philippians 12:13. Nothing can separate us from God’s love
and so let us rejoice in the Lord always.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to rejoice in You and be glad no matter what happens around us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
