Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” - John 11:25,26.
Jesus raised
Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha in Bethany after he had been dead for four
days. Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you
would see the glory of God? - John 11:40. Now when He had said these things, He
cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out
bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth.
Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go” - John 11:43,44.
The One who raised Lazarus from the grave was Himself raised from the
grave. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through
His Spirit who dwells in you - Romans 8:11. The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and has given us eternal life. And
this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in
His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does
not have life - 1 John 5:11,12.
Jesus Himself is the resurrection and life who brings resurrection and life to those who believe Him. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die - John 11:25,26. Let us believe God and have the everlasting life. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life - John 5:24.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the
resurrection and life. Let us believe and see Your glory. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.
