Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which
You have laid up for those who fear You - Psalm 31:19.
God demonstrated His goodness towards
us by sending His only son for us. We see that the goodness of God is
manifested in His desire to forgive our sin. Or do you despise the riches of
His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of
God leads you to repentance? - Romans 2:4.
The
goodness of God is also manifested in His grace. Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let
us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need." God does not withhold anything
that is truly good for us. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk
uprightly - Psalm 84:11.
God
is good to all. The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His
works - Psalm 145:9. Unlike man, God is eternally good and His goodness never
changes. In Malachi 3:6, we read, For I am the Lord, I change not. He will be
good forever. Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good:
for his mercy endureth forever - Psalm 106:1.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
Your goodness in our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
