For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the
world, but to save the world through him -John 3:16-17.
Jesus paid the highest
price for us because He loves us more than we could ever imagine. He sacrificed
His life by dying on the cross to pay the price for our sins. He paid the debt for
us which He did not owe. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled
Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross -
Philippians 2:8.
God came to this world to
save us. The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give
his life as a ransom for many - Matthew 20:28. He came to seek and save those
who were lost (Luke 19:10). The Lord, has taken on our debt and paid it all for
us so that we can live in righteousness. Who Himself bore our sins in His own
body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by
whose stripes you were healed – 1 Peter 2:24..
Jesus sacrificed his life
to bear our sins. So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many – Hebrews
9:28. He paid the full price to redeem us. You were bought at a price; do not
become slaves of men - 1 Corinthians 7:23. But this Man, after He had offered
one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God – Hebrews 10:12.
Prayer: Dear Lord, We thank you for
dying on the cross and paying the debts for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
