Hosanna In The Highest

‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest! - Matthew 21:9.

A very great multitude spread their clothes and branches from the trees on the road as Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a small donkey. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road - Matthew 21:7,8. They welcomed him as their victorious Savior, taking palm branches and shouting "Hosanna!" - John 12:13.

They shouted Hosanna, rejoiced and praised God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen. And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road. Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: “ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” - Luke 19:37, 38. They shouted, “Hosanna!! Hosanna!!  Son of David!! Blessed is the King of Israel!!” - Matthew 21:10.

Let us rejoice and praise God for all His mighty works and proclaim the salvation to all people. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold You king is coming to You; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt the foal of a donkey - Zechariah 9:9. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You - Psalm 22:27.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our victorious Savior. We shout hosanna and praise You. We thank You for all Your mighty works. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
