Set Apart

            The Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly - Psalm 4:3.                         

                 Christ set Himself apart for us. Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many - Matthew 20:28. Though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men - Philippians 2:6,7. 

                      We are called out of darkness into His marvelous light and set apart by God to proclaim the praises of Him. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9. Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s - 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20.

                      We are set apart by God to be His people and to be holy as He is holy. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God; and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always, for their own good, and for the good of their children after them - Jeremiah 32:38-39. And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine - Leviticus 20:26.

                   Let us set apart ourselves for Christ alone. There is none upon earth that I desire besides You- Psalm 73:25. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me - Matthew 10:37. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain - Philippians 1:21. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s - Romans 14:8. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God - Colossians 3:1-3. Jeremiah 32:38-39.

                                             

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us set apart ourselves for You alone and fulfill Your purpose. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
