God Gave Himself For Us

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me” - Luke 22:19.

As an offering

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma - Ephesians 5:2.

As a ransom for all

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time - 1Timothy 2:5,6. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for man - Mark 10:45.

With love

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins - 1 John 4:9,10. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us - Romans 5:8.

To have everlasting life

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

For our sins

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father- Galatians 1:3,4.

To redeem and purify us

Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works - Titus 2:13,14.

To live in us

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me – Galatians 2:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for giving Yourself for us with an unconditional love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
