Jesus Came To The World For Us

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

In the appearance of man

Jesus being in the form of God came to the world for us with love in the appearance of man. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men - Philippians 2:5-7.

To serve us

Jesus came to the world to serve us and to give His life as a ransom for many.  For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many - Mark 10:45.

To give us an abundant life

Jesus came to the world to give us an abundant life. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly - John 10:10.

To save us

Jesus came to the world to save us. For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost - Luke 19:10.

For us to become righteous

Jesus who was sinless was made sin for our sinfulness that we might become righteous. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God - 2 Corinthians 5:21.

For us to become rich

Jesus endured poverty so that we might become rich. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich - 2 Corinthians 8:9.

We are predestined by God

Jesus endured rejection that we might have His acceptance with the Father. He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will - to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves - Ephesians 1:5, 6.

For us to have eternal life

Jesus was cut off by death that we might be joined to God eternally. For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken - Isaiah 53:8b.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your love. We thank You for coming to this world to save us and for giving us the gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
