For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring - Isaiah 44:3.
As the deer
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God - Psalm 42:1,2.
Like a parched land
I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land - Psalm 143:6.
Like a dry and weary land where there is no water
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water - Psalm 63:1.
More than watchmen
I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning -Psalm 130:6.
One desire
One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple - Psalm 27:4.
Let us have a longing and thirst for God more than anything in the world. My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God - Psalm 84:2. I long for Your salvation, O Lord, And Your law is my delight - Psalm 119:174. If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink - John 7:37. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it - Psalm 81:10. For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness - Psalm 107:9.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our only desire. Let us have a thirst for You like a deer that pants for the water brooks. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
