He is holy - Psalm 99:3.
There is none holy like our Lord. There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God - 1 Samuel 2:2. Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy - Revelation 15:4. Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders? - Exodus 15:11. Holy is His name - Luke 1:49. Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy - Psalm 99:5.
When Isaiah saw the holiness of God, he confessed his own unholiness. And one called to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory' - Isaiah 6:3. And I said: ‘Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!’”. Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.- Isaiah 6:5-7.
We are chosen by God to be holy. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight - Ephesians 1:4. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9. God's will for us is to be holy and without holiness, we cannot see God. For it is God’s will that you should be holy - 1 Thessalonians 4:3. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, with out which no one will see the Lord - Hebrews 12:14. You shall be holy, for I am holy - 1 Peter 1:16.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Holy is Your name. Help us to be holy as You are holy. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
