Slow To Anger

The Lord is slow to anger - Nahum 1:3.

Our Lord is slow to anger. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy - Psalm 145:8. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness - Psalm 86:15. Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger - James 1:19.

Our anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires - James 1:20. Anger lodges in the heart of fools but the one who is slow to anger is better than the mighty. Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools - Ecclesiastes 7:9. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city - Proverbs 16:32.

We will give place to devil in our life if we are still angry with someone when the sun goes down. In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. - Ephesians 4:26. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you - Ephesians 4:31, 32.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are slow to anger. Let us also be slow to anger like You and never give place to devil in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
